Funke Oshonaike is a Nigerian born on the 28th of April 1974 in Akeju, Lagos State. She started her table tennis career at a very young age in the 1980s. She represented her country in numerous international events such as the women’s single at the 2020 summer Olympics for the 7th time having previously qualified and participated in Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016. .
